When Life Comes To A Screeching Halt

So we didn't make it to the mall this weekend. About 20 mins before we were to head into Mason to set up, my husband fell off a ladder and broke his leg. The last 5 days have been a blurry, overwelming mess, to say the least!! We are slowly moving into a schedule. Hubs came home Sunday after surgery on Friday morning. They put pins in, took some fragments out and put bone putty back in. I am thankful it wasn't his neck or his back!

After a summer of constant going, overdrive, if not faster. We are now left standing at a complete halt! As the caregiver of everything and everyone, I fall into bed every nite exhausted, but yet can't sleep. I'm use to snoring next to me, give him an elbow every now and then...and now, he's not there. The next 6 wks until he can put weight on it, will be trying to say the least for all of us. I am not a patient person, but I will have to be. I've also learned that all these things I've been waiting for Hubs to have time to do, I can do myself or I can now toss them in his lap and he has more then enough time to do them :) I know I'm not the one laying in bed, I'm already going stir crazy. So I will try to keep him entertained and busy as best I can.

Just thought I would let everyone know why we weren't there. We'll be ready to go in Nov on Black Friday though! I've got most of the fall/halloween packed away and I'm ready to get the Christmas out! I just better give the place a thorough cleaning before. You'll once again have to look past the lack of window trim and base board and my paint job not being quite done. My contractor won't be back on the job for some time and I am not even attempting some of these things!

Have a wonderful evening, and be thankful for each and every day!!
